-many soldiers went to war not knowing what was in store for them.during the war, the war was mostly held in TRENCHES. many things occured like trench foot. the trench foot was where the feet were always wet and they start to decay. many rats would come and feast on the dead and injured.
- the rats would carry lice and they would get on the soldiers and the lice would leave red spots, carrying diseases and most importantly,DISGUSTING stenches....

The conditions of the soldiers faced during war world 1.Are very serious they had bad dreams of peopole dieing. They had to think about not dieing the next day.

The emotions they had to go threw was amazing that they had the strenth to keep fighting. Also the point of fact of watching so much blood 24/7. Wondering of they going to bomb your camp.Welling as my conclusion i say dont put me in the war im going to suicide my self.

The conditions during World War 1 were horrendous. People were terrified of fighting the war. There were diseases everywhere. Rats and lice were everywhere.Soldiers in the trenches were terrified. If they were sick , they couldn't fight and lay in their beds.

Food was usually late or cold; therefore soldiers normally ate their tinned food they brought with them. They also carried around weapons for emergency. Weather contributed to the unpleasantness, with rain causing trenches to flood, sometimes up to waist height. The soldiers might even be killed because they were in the mud for so long that their feet were frozen like ice so they couldn't move them.Trench life was generally tedious, prone to boredom and was hard work, with the trenches requiring constant building and repairing.

In World War I, the "trenches" were literally trenches dug into dirt or mud to shelter soldiers while they were firing at the enemy. Both sides used trenches in the fighting.
Trench warfare was primarily a defensive tactic, placing soldiers low in the trench for protection, installing barbed wire in front of them in more modern times, and then allowing the soldiers to shoot at the enemy.

The war was mostly in trenches. Conditions in the trenches during WW1 were horrendous. Better trenches would be about seven feet deep and 4 to 6 feet wide. Sometimes sand bags would line the sides of the trench otherwise a kind latticework wall of hazel branches was used a bit like hurdle fences. Planking would be laid in the base. On the lip of the trench would be sand bags and barbed wire. The rain filled up the trench and water seeped in through the sides leaving the troops up to their knees in thick, stinking mud that made any movement difficult. There was no what so ever sanitation and rats were a problem.Diseases were rife such as dysentery and trench foot. There would be no relief for front line troops for weeks on end. Conditions in the trenches were literally hell on earth.
