the "african history" facts

-during the middle ages, africa as a whole was a strong continent
-strong in cattle , ivory, and gold
-"great house of stone" means zimbabwe
-they had a great wall that was 25 ft. long and 16ft. thick
-it was used for protection from enemies and keep men from watching women's get togethers.
-zimbabwe was a thriving metropolitan
-it was the size of london before it was taken over by the europeans
the population was roughly 18000 people.
-they had a strong belief in many gods
-in times of need they would go to a sacred place where the king makes sacrifices to gods and asking the gods for wisdom and guidance.
-in their sacred places, they had many animal statues to symbolize different gods
