The success of the American Revolution and the French Revolution, as well as Enlightenment changed ideas about who should control the government. In Latin America, most of the people resented the domination of European colonial powers. Also, many of the lower class people were oppressed and disliked the fact that they were of a lower station than others, simply because they were not born in Spain.France had a few good revolutionist like marquis De Lafayette, but since there conventions were public, the crowd would start yelling so they could not be heard. But the real reason was they were not ready to be a free people, that was because they were not moral and virtuous. Most did not even believe in God, which if you look in the American revolution everyone of the founders believed God, and a high percentage of the American people also believed in God.At a packed meeting trade union activists, Latin American solidarity campaigners and immigrant rights organisations came together to discuss how to build solidarity with Latin American workers in Britain who are organising for trade union rights at work.
