The Holocaust was a time of the extreme killing of six million jews in ww2.during World War II, a programme of systematic state-sponsored extermination by Nazi Germany.Two-thirds of the population of nine million Jews who had resided in Europe before the Holocaust were killed.During the time of the Holocaust, German authorities also targeted other groups because of their perceived "racial inferiority": Roma (Gypsies), the disabled, and some of the Slavic peoples (Poles, Russians, and others). Other groups were persecuted on political, ideological, and behavioral grounds, among them Communists, Socialists, Jehovah's Witnesses, and homosexuals.
